Marikina Sports COMPLEX

HISTORY
Built in 1996 a Rodriguez Sports Center by the Provincial Government of Rizal under then Gov. Isidro S. Rodriguez Sr., in a 3-hectare land area owned by the Municipality of Marikina (now a city) during then Mayor Osmundo de Guzman Sr., it was officially turned-over to Marikina in 1995 through the initiative of former Mayor Bayani F. Fernando and was fully refurbished in 2001 during the term of Mayor Ma. Lourdes C. Fernando.
This sports facility was re-named the Marikina Sports Park.

VISION

· Marikina Sports Park is a haven to all sports enthusiasts.

MISSION

· To foster awareness on the importance of having a sound mind and a sound body.
· To produce competent athletes both for the national and international arena.
· To help increase city revenues in order to promote other worthwhile programs for the citizens.

PINOY OTAKU FESTIVAL 2013 IS A MONTH LONG CELEBRATION COMPOSED OF A A SERIES OF EVENTS AND FESTIVITIES CULMINATING IN OUR SECOND MAJOR EVENT, “PINOY SUPER HEROES ARISE!”.  THIS IS A CALL FOR ALL OF US TO RISE UP AND UNITE FOR OUR COUNTRY AND THE COMMUNITY WE BELONG IN.  WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO SPARK THE FILIPINO SPIRIT OF BAYANIHAN IN ALL OF US.

Biography

Michael Vincent Manalo is a photographer and a photo-manipulator. He was born in 1986 in Manila, Philippines.

His works are inspired by the imagined memories of nostalgic and dream-like environments; his works documents their decline into post-apocalyptic and nightmarish creations.


Manalo has exhibited in Australia, Germany, Georgia, Italy, Japan, Philippines, Poland, UK and USA. He won 1st prize in the Digital Art Category at the Art Museum of Chianciano Terme, Italy and Best Photography Illustration from The Redmond Digital Arts Festival in Washington, USA. His works have been published in several magazines such as the Advanced Photoshop in the UK and also in the Fotoblur Magazines.


He has attended several artist-in-residences in Australia, Poland and England. He has also conducted lectures in Poland and Australia and did a photo-manipulation workshop in Singapore.

I-Vice Ganda Mo 'Ko'

MANILA, Philippines -- Vice Ganda is gearing up for his third major solo concert, with several big-name personalities set to grace the event in May.

Titled "I-Vice Ganda Mo 'Ko sa Araneta," the concert will be held at the coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City on May 17.
The comedian-host will be joined on stage by actors Daniel Padilla, Enrique Gil, Paulo Avelino, actress Dawn Zulueta, singer Regine Velasquez and comedienne-actress Ai Ai delas Alas.
"I-Vice Ganda Mo 'Ko" is the "It's Showtime" host's follow-up to his successful solo concerts in 2010 and 2011, which were also held at the Big Dome.
