Cyberzone Cosplay Grand Prix – 2nd Heat

The biggest, nation-wide Video Game Cosplay Contest returns to heat things up again in the Cyberzone Cosplay Grand Prix 2nd Heat!

The Cyberzone Cosplay Grand Prix – 2nd Heat is a CRS Accredited Event. All cosplayers who opted to join CRS can and may earn points for this event.

  1. The Cyberzone Cosplay Grand Prix 2nd Heat (CCGP 2) is open to all event attendees of the Cosplay Tournament of Champions 4 Preliminary legs and attendees of Cosplay Mania ‘13.
        CCGP will happen on the following dates and venues:
  1. June 29 – SM City Baguio (Mall Atrium)
  2. July 13 – SM City Cagayan de Oro (Event Center)
  3. July 20 – SM City Bacoor, Cavite (Event Center)
  4. July 27 - SM City Bacolod (Event Center)
  5. August 10 – SM City Lanang, Davao (Event Center)
  6. August 24 - SM City North Edsa (Annex)
  7. September 7 - SM City Consolacion, Cebu (Event Center)
  8. September 22 – SM Manila (Cyberzone Event Center)               
  1. The Grand Prix is open to any characters from series that appeared in VIDEO GAMES - this includes games from Arcade, PC, Online, Console, iOS, Smartphone and handheld games (ex., Mario from Super Mario Bros., Kratos from God of War, Zombie from Plants vs. Zombies, Master Yi from League of Legends, etc.). No original characters are allowed.
  1. TORCH 4 contestants participating on the same preliminary leg on the same day are ineligible from joining the Grand Prix. At the same cosplayers and their costumes who have placed (2nd, 3rd prize)/won in a previous CCGP contest are also ineligible from joining the CCGP, with the exception of the Grand Finale leg on October 5, 2013 at Cosplay Mania '13.
  1. This is an individual cosplay contest. Registration for the CCGP will be done on the date of the event, from 10am up until 1pm, or until the contestant limit of 50pax has been reached, whichever comes first.
  1. CCGP shall be accepting a maximum of 50 participants. Should registration on the day of the event exceed 50 participants, pre - judging to limit the number of participants may occur.
  1. CCGP contestants are required to join the cosplay mall parade which will happen before the start of the contest.
  1. Cosplayers under eighteen (18) years of age as of cosplay event date must have their parent/s and/or legal guardian/s sign the waiver/image release form which will be distributed at the event.
  1. Fanservice (ie. yaoi, yuri, etc.) is allowed but should be “General Patronage”. Any kind of extreme kind of fanservice (ie. kissing, PDA, etc.) that is deemed inappropriate for minors are strictly prohibited.
  1. Costumes that are too revealing (ie. exposes private parts) are prohibited. Scantly clad and/or sexy costumes are allowed but are not encouraged. The CCGP cosplay team has the right to disqualify any participant on this ground.
  1. All kinds of costume props must be handled with utmost care and must not be harmful to his/her fellow cosplayers, event staff and event attendees. Any kind of sharp and/or bladed objects that will be used as costume props that could cut human flesh are strictly prohibited. Any kind of pyrotechnic equipment/s that will be used as costume props that could render damage to the venue and/or property is strictly prohibited.
  1. The CCGP Cosplay team, CCGP Cosplay organizers and its staff will not be held responsible for damage or injury resulting from mishandling and/or negligence of a cosplayer in his/her use of props/materials throughout the duration of the event.
  1. CCGP Cosplay judges’ decisions are final and can’t be appealed.
  1. CCGP Cosplay organizers reserve the right to disqualify any cosplayer who ignores and/or violates any of the aforementioned guidelines.
  1. Registration and participation to the cosplay event constitutes that the cosplayer gives the right and the authority to CCGP Cosplay organizers/staff, its sponsors and authorized press media to take pictures and/or videos of registered cosplayers, cosplay groups and its members and will be the sole property of the organizers/staff, its sponsors and authorized press media to be used for future publications and/or advertising promotions.
  1. CCGP Cosplay organizers and its staff and their relatives up to the 2nd degree of affinity or consanguinity are disqualified from participating in the cosplay event.
Picture Reference Submission

  1. All cosplay registrants has the option to submit a printed, colored full-body picture of the character that they will be cosplaying.
  1. Accuracy points will be deducted to the cosplay registrants who failed to submit a picture reference.
  1. All pictures must not go below 3x4 inches (wallet size) and must not go beyond 8.5x11 inches (short bond paper size).

Accuracy: 20%
Craftsmanship: 30%
Performance: 20%
Adherence to Theme: 10%
Overall Impact: 10%
