Street Smart Cosplay Guidelines:

* Street Smart Cosplay event is open to all event attendees (Kids, Teens and Adults).

* Street Smart Cosplay event is an individual cosplay open category ( Anime, Manga, Comics, TV, Movie, Video games and Toys )

* Street Smart Cosplay event will be held on Saturday (February 26, 2011).

* REGISTRATION STARTS at 10:00AM up to 2:00 PM only. Cosplay CATWALK will start at 4:00pm

* Cosplay registration will be held during the event. Look for our registration booth for the contest at the front of MCTTIPO Office.

* Each cosplayer is required to submit a printed copy of the picture of the character that they’ll be cosplaying. Only printed pictures will be accepted.

* The Street Smart Cosplay is a general patronage event, we don’t allow cosplay models on stage acting some inappropriate presentation of their costume and character. Meaning no NUDITY, no Kissing, no sexual acting, we prohibit all of these presentations, and all organizers has the right to disqualify and remove the cosplay model off the stage.

* Costume props, weapons and effects should not be harmful to anyone. We don’t allow real life weapons like guns, knives, sword, katanas or anything that is sharp and bladed real life weapon. We allow only replicas and custom made props. Pyrotechnic props are also strictly prohibited at the event.

* The organizers are not responsible for damage and injury to the cosplay models, we allow the participants to have their own assistant during the cosplay contest and preparation, but we don’t allow the assistants catwalking on stage with the cosplay models. But we advise that all must be responsible in using their weapons props before, during and after the contest.

* A registered cosplay participant agrees to follow all rules of the contest and also allow the public, press and media the authority to take photos and videos of all participants. The organizers has the right to document the whole contest proper and its participants in photos and video to be used in advertising and promotions of future Toy con events.

* CRITERIA FOR JUDGING and AWARDS (Street Smart Cosplay judges’ decisions are final and can’t be appealed.)

Violators will need to consume the food outside the trade hall.

The Embassy of Japan in the Philippines is once again calling on all Japanophiles and music lovers to warm up their vocal chords, brush up on their Nihongo skills and join this year's J-Pop Anime Singing Contest, the most energetic and youthful event to fete the 2011 Philippines-Japan Friendship Month.

Now on its third year, the J-Pop Anime Singing Contest is open to all Filipino amateur singing groups (with the exemption of the previous years' winners) composed of up to a maximum of five members. This year, solo performers can also join the contest . There is no age limit for contest participants. Japanese nationals are allowed to join provided that they are part of a group and play supporting roles in the group (e.g. instrumentalists or back-up vocals or dancers) and do not exceed more than half the number of group members (e.g. a group of three can have one Japanese member).

Participants may choose the following performance set-up: 1) Play his/her/their own musical instrument and 2) perform a capella . Minus-one performances will be allowed provided that the participant's/s' music accompaniment comes from an original music CD .

J-Pop Anime Singing Contest application forms are available at the Japan Information and Culture Center (JICC) Library, Embassy of Japan , 2627 Roxas Boulevard , Pasay City or can be downloaded at www.ph.emb-japan.go.jp.

To join the contest, interested participants must submit to the JICC a duly accomplished application form along with an individual/group photo, short write-up about the performer/s, and a demo CD containing two Japanese songs by the participant/s. Ten performers/performing groups who pass the screening process will be invited to compete in the Grand Final to be held on July 23, 2011 (Saturday) at the SM Megamall Event Center . Registration starts on February 20, 2011 and ends on May 20, 2011.

Top winners will win free lessons from the Nihongo Center Foundation and Center for Pop Music Philippines and bring home exciting prizes from Ajinomoto, Canon, Heritage Hotel, Panasonic, Sony, Toshiba, and Yakult. At the Grand Final, the participants can also enjoy special treats courtesy of Yoshinoya. Hero TV and Toei Animation Philippines will also be giving out special prizes to the performer/s of their choice.

The Singing Contest aims to further promote Japanese language and culture appreciation among Filipinos and to strengthen the longstanding friendship between Japan and the Philippines. The J-Pop and Anime Singing Contest is presented by the Embassy of Japan in cooperation with the Japan Foundation, Manila and in partnership with Animation International Licensing Philippines, Center for Pop Music, Heritage Hotel, Nihongo Center Foundation, SM Cyberzone , SM Supermalls - SM Megamall, Toei Animation Philippines, Yoshinoya, the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Philippines, Inc., Ajinomoto, Canon, Panasonic, Sony, Toshiba, Yakult, and HERO TV as the media partner.

*COSPLAY & WALK CONTEST GUIDELINES:

I. Eligibility / Requirement:

1. This contest is open to Cosplayers. (OPEN CATEGORY)

2. The Cosplay contest is open to all ages.

3. To join, participants must be a member of the SM City San Lazaro fan page. For those joining the online cosplay contest (most # of Likes; Online Crowd Fave) and the catwalk competition, please email your pictures to enzoredevents@gmail.com. Posting of pics and voting starts on Wed, Feb 23 at 12nn. **Pictures posted on SM San Lazaro page's wall will be deleted** :)) Cosplayers that would fail to submit their photo can still join the event on February 27.



4. Participants must be residents of the Philippines.

5. Members of the Cosplay Fever Philippines organizing committee, Faceoff: The SM San Lazaro liaisons and their relations are disqualified from entering this contest.


II. Mechanics:

1. Participants must bring a hard copy of the character that they are cosplaying (11x8.5; black and white pictures will not be accepted). Cosplay contestants are required register wearing their full costume (considerations may apply for heavy / bulky / robot costumes). All registrations shall be treated on a first-come, first-served basis.

2. Also Email us your photo (broken.cosplay@yahoo.com) If possible, choose a signature move, tagline, phrase/quotation of the Chosen character cosplay.

3. Costumes that are too revealing (ie. exposes private parts) are prohibited. Sexy costumes are allowed but are not encouraged. The FACEBOOK FACEOFF STAFF has the right to disqualify any participant on this ground.


4. The Cosplay&walk is a combitation of Skitwalk type of ramp front presentation, where each contestant will be only given time of presenting as they make their way to the stage.

5. All kinds of costume props must be handled with utmost care and must not be harmful to his/her fellow cosplayers, event staff and event attendees. Any kind of sharp and/or bladed objects that will be used as costume props that could cut human flesh are strictly prohibited. Any kind of pyrotechnic equipment/s that will be used as costume props that could render damage to the venue and/or property is strictly prohibited. SM City San Lazaro, Enzo Red and Promoters will not be held responsible for damage or injury resulting from mishandling and/or negligence of a cosplayer in his/her use of props/materials throughout the duration of the event.

6. After registering, the contestant/CosPlayer must take note of the instructions to avoid further questions. Other questions that concern about FACEBOOK FACEOFF event will only be entered online.

7. All schedules, time, locations and updates of the event will be posted online.
Bring a valid ID upon the day of the event, and a copy of their character biography attached w/ the photo for fast search of confirmation.

8. Contest proper will be starting around 2 PM.

9. Cosplayers under eighteen (18) years of age as of cosplay event date must have their parent/s and/or legal guardian/s sign the waiver/image release form which will be distributed at the event.

10. Fanservice (ie. yaoi, yuri, etc.) is allowed but should be “General Patronage”. Any kind of extreme kind of fanservice (ie. kissing, PDA, etc.) that is deemed inappropriate for minors are strictly prohibited.

11. Individual cosplay participants are not qualified to join the Group Cosplay event even as a minor role or as a prop.







*GROUP COSPLAY Guidelines

1. A cosplay group must consist of at least three (3) and a maximum of ten (10) members per group.

2. A member of a particular cosplay group can only join ONE COSPLAY GROUP. Joining multiple cosplay groups is not allowed

3. Cosplay Group members are not qualified and allowed to join the Individual Cosplay contest.

4. All cosplay groups are required to have a cosplay skit. Each cosplay group will be given a maximum of 4 minutes of stage time to do their skits.

5. All cosplay groups are encouraged to act out from a scene in the title that they’re cosplaying. We discourage any dance choreography/skit.

6. All BGMs that will be used for the cosplay skit must be in audio format (.CDA) or in MP3 format and must be within the limit of their cosplay skit. Audio CDs must be properly labeled and submitted at the event itself upon registration. A cosplay group is required to have a sound director/representative who will assist the technical team in the usage of their CDs. No BGM CD and/or no sound director means no registration.



III. Rules:

1. Cosplayers participating in each category of the event must be able to justify their cosplay characters from any genre, whether it's from an anime, manga, games, comics, movies, western animation, visual kei, harajuku fashion, etc, during the cosplay&walk. Original Characters is also not allowed.

2. Cosplayers must be around the Event Area all the time. Failure to respond to the hosts’ acknowledgement can result into a disqualification.

3. Cosplayers are requested to bring both copies of information:


a)Character Biography
b)Character Photo
c)Identification

Note: This is for Efficiency of work line up, to avoid pile up of Participants on the event proper.

SM City San Lazaro, Enzo Red and Promoters reserve the right to disqualify or refuse an entry under sufficient grounds as stated above any time during the contest without prior notice. Participants should ensure that they have read and understood the rules above. SM City San Lazaro, Enzo Red, Eventscape Productions and the Promoters will not be responsible to any loss or damages that might occur during the event.
