| More Info | THis IS The Rules And REgulations,, A FAMILY WEEKEND AT Manila Ocean Park **COSPLAY ** July 30, 2011 3:00-6:00pm Here are the guidelines for Cosplay competition: 1. Registration begins at 10:00am and closes at 2:00pm. 2. The participants must be in costume upon registration. To avoid inconvenience, it is encouraged that participants arrive at the venue in costume.( the organizers will provide a waiting area for the participants) ...3. The participants must have the following upon registration: 1. Three (3) COPIES of a full body picture of the character. 2. Registration forms. The participant should fill-out three (3) copies of the registration form provided at the event itself. It will be submitted upon registration together with the full body picture of the character. 4. For the Individual Cosplay: 1. Only the first 100 INDIVIDUAL Cosplayers will be allowed to register. 2. Registration will be done on a registration submission basis, meaning, the first person to register will be the first person to go up onstage. 3. No request for special music shall be entertained 5. For the Group Cosplay: 1. The Group Cosplay contest shall be formally opened as soon as the registration team receives a total of FIVE (5) or more Group Cosplay contestants. 2. Group Cosplay contestants have a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of fifteen (15) members. Three (3) points will be deducted from the final score of the group for every excess member. 3. Registration will be done on a registration submission basis, meaning, the first person to register will be the first person to go up onstage. 4. Group music must be in the form of CD or single file MP3. CDs containing multiple tracks will not be entertained. CD or music MP3 file must be given on the time of registration, otherwise, the registration team shall assume that you will not use any music for your skit. 6. The Cosplay Catwalk will be from 3pm-6pm. Individual cosplayers are given a maximum of one (1) minute stage time. Group cosplayers are given five (5) minutes stage time to perform their skit. Failure to comply with the time limit will result to the disqualification of the cosplayer or the group from the competition. 7. Cosplayers will be judged during the Cosplay Catwalk, from which the Best Male, Best Female and Best Group Cosplay will be chosen. 8. The winner of the Cosplay competition will be decided by the judges in terms of these criteria: Characterization – the cosplayer’s resemblance to the reference character in terms of personality and behaviour. 1. Costume and Craftsmanship – resemblance of the costume to that of the reference character. Quality of the costume and visual appeal. 2. Overall Appeal- innovativeness, creativity, and audience appeal. This including the catwalk presentation for individual cosplayers. 3. Skit (for Group Cosplay)-creativity and appeal of presentation. Criteria Breakdown Individual Cosplay: Characterization=35% Costume =35% Overall Appeal=30% Group Cosplay: Characterization =30% Costume Accuracy=30% Overall Appeal=25% Performance/Skit=15% 9. Prizes Best Male – Php 3,000 Best Female – Php 3,000 Best Group (min 5 groups to open) – Php 5,000 Judges’ decision is final. Prizes and Contest rules may be subject to change without notice. COSPLAY COMPETITION GUIDELINES ( copied from their registration form ) - ONLY for participants ages 13 yrs. old and above - Cosplay must be a character from any anime, manga, comic book, or video game. - Participants must portray the character's personalities and attitude. - 3 mins. maximum are given for each cosplayer's performance - Cosplayers must confirm at the registration booth at least 30 mins. before the contest proper. Other guidelines - Time limit will be strictly implemented - Please bring a backup copy of your BGM - All judges' decisions are final. Requirements: - Cosplay character reference photo/picture and background music (in CD or flash drive) - Photocopy of VRR# of parents/self (Voters' ID I think) - Photocopy of a Valid ID w/ address or birth certificate For registration and further inquiries, please call 628-0467 and look for Ms. Bang or Michael. To commute from MRT Shaw Station: 1. Look for the Parklea Jeepney Terminal opposite of Edsa Central Mall. 2. Ride a jeepney with the sign "Pasig Palengke". 3. Nearest landmarks are the Pasig City Cathedral and the Pasig City Hall. 4. The Tanghalang Pasigueno is right behind Pasig City Hall. From SM Megamall: 1. Look for FX's with the sign "Pasig Palengke". 2. Nearest landmarks are the Pasig City Cathedral and the Pasig City Hall. 3. The Tanghalang Pasigueno is right behind Pasig City Hall. This event is purely a competition; no exhibitor booths or anything else. But you could roam around the venue for photoshoots. Edit: Contest proper begins at 6PM; 4PM is the start of registration. Website is also coming its way. what to expect: -Anime karaoke contest Mechanics • How to Join: o All who wants to join must send an email on gakuencosplay@yahoo.com with their full name, age and the name of song that they will sing. o Subject of their email must be “Anime Karaoke Contest – Joining”. Else your email will be ignored. o Maximum of 15 contestants will be allowed to register. o “First Come – First served” Basis. • Rules & Guidelines o The Song that contestant’s will going to sing must be songs that came from anime. They can also sing other song, but make sure that the artist must be Japanese. o The Song of their choice must run only 3mins – 5mins. Those who are going to pass the time limit given will be given penalty in their score. o Contestants can go as Individual, Duets or Group. o Costumes and Choreography are welcomed but not required. o Contestant may have their lyrics sheet while performing, but will given penalty in their score. So it is advisable to memorize your lyrics. • Criteria for Judging o Voice Quality, Proper Melody (40%) o Proper Diction (40%) o Choice of Song (10%) o Audience Impact (10%) 100% • Awards: o Winner will going to Receive php 1,000.00 o And a Surprise Award that will be announce on the Event it Self. -J-song Dance contest Mechanics • How to Join: o All who wants to join must send an email on gakuencosplay@yahoo.com with their team name, member’s full name, age and the name of song that they will going to use.. o Subject of their email must be “J-song Dance Contest – (TEAM NAME)”. Else your email will be ignored. o Maximum of Groups will be allowed to register. o “First Come – First served” Basis. • Rules & Guidelines o The Song that group’s will going to use must be songs that came from anime, or sang by Japanese artist only. o The Song of their choice must run only 3mins – 5mins. Those who are going to pass the time limit given will be given penalty in their score. o Contestants must have a minimum member of 3 and a maximum member of 10. • Criteria for Judging o Content (30%) o Choreography (30%) o Execution (30%) o Audience Impact (10%) 100% • Awards: o Winner will going to Receive php 2,500.00 o And a Surprise Award that will be announce on the Event it Self. -Cosplay Catwalk Mechanics • How to Join: o All who wants to join must send an email on gakuencosplay@yahoo.com with their full name, age, screen name, and name and picture of the character they are cosplaying. You can also register On-Site; just find the registration table on the event venue. o FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION: Subject of their email must be “Cosplay Catwalk – (SCREEN NAME)”. Else your email will be ignored. o Maximum of 400 individuals will be allowed to register. o “First Come – First served” Basis. • Rules & Guidelines o The characters that will be cosplay must be from anime, manga, games from Japan. Other characters from other genre will be given penalty in their score. o The time limit of the catwalk will be 20sec. per individual. Passing the given time limit will be given penalty in their score per second. o The music for the catwalk will be produced by the team. • Criteria for Judging o Stage Presentation (40%) o Character Characteristic (35%) o Costume Detail (20%) o Audience Impact (5%) 100% • Awards: o Winner will going to Receive php 5,000.00 o And a Surprise Award that will be announce on the Event it Self. -Photo Contest Mechanics • How to Join: o All who wants to join must be attendees of the Cosplay Evolution Event. o You can sign-up in the registration booth. o Only one picture per participant. o “First Come – First served” Basis. • Rules & Guidelines o The photos must be shot with in the venue.
