- Due to the success of its first Tamashii Convention, the Nihon Kenkyuu Kai will once again hold a Japanese Pop Culture Convention, entitled “TamaMatsuri,”. The word "matsuri" in the title alludes to how we envision this year's "TamaCon" as an event similar to a festival. This year's "TamaCon" is aimed at allowing its participants to experience a Japanese festival, with activities and games being based on those found in actual festivals in Japan.
It has been one of the big events of Nihon Kenkyuu Kai, a Japanese professional organization of De La Salle University. It started last year, 2011, of March. The Nihon Kenkyuu Kai (NKK) is the professional organization for Japanese Studies Majors of De La Salle University and students who are interested in Japan and its culture. NKK fosters mutual understanding in building bridges of friendship among Filipinos and Japanese. It is made up of a diverse group of students interested to learn more about Japanese culture, traditions, customs and its people.

• The Netopia Cyberleague Cosplay Competition is open to both male and female at least 12 years old and above
• Netopia requires all interested contestants to send their FULL BODY and HALF BODY photos of their character and their actual Cosplay to:

How to Register?
• Those who previously registered on Netopia Cyberleague Cosplay Competition are requested to send their confirmation for joining.
• To confirm, please attach a picture of your character and a picture of your actual cosplay (whole body and half body) then wait for Netopia’s confirmation if you're shortlisted.

Assembly:
• All Netopia Cyberleague Cosplay Grand Final Contestants must be in the Cyberzone Activity Center of SM North Edsa Annex on February 11, 2012 (Saturday) at ______________.
• All Cosplay Contestants must register to the Netopia Cyberleague Cosplay Marshals. They will be given an Instruction forms and schedule for strict compliance upon their arrival.
• There will be a designated dressing room that Cosplay Contestant can use and there are designated areas where Cosplay Contestants can stay/ change while waiting for the Cosplay Competition
• All Cosplay Contestants must follow the instruction of the official Cosplay Marshals from the Cosplay Network Philippines (CNPH). The Cosplay marshals will conduct briefing to
• Netopia will honor CNPH’s marshals recommendation to disqualify any Cosplay contestant considering all valid grounds like misconduct and sexy costumes that are inappropriate for the general audience.
Catwork Competition:
• During catwalk, each cosplayer is given at least 1 minute to do his/her posing and acting on stage.
• Please refrain from doing poses/actions/words (e.g foul words, bad signs) which are inappropriate for general audience.
• Objects that can harm any people (e.g real knife) during catwalk are strictly prohibited.
• Costumes that reveal too much exposure to private part/s is strictly prohibited.

• Characterization - 25%
• Durability/Craftsmanship [of props,etc] - 20%
• Audience Impact - 10%

Requirements:
- 2B3C tickets for Feb 26 & 27. PLEASE PRESENT DAY 1 AND 2 TICKETS at the SECRETARIAT to be able to register.
- Kindly provide a photo of the character you are cosplaying for the judges' reference.
- For those who require a select music, kindly bring Audio (mp3 only) in a USB flash disk. No CDs.
- No deadly / actual weapons. Imitation weapons are the only ones allowed.

Here are the guidelines for Cosplay competition:
1. Registration begins at 11:00am and closes at 3:00pm.
2. The participants must be in costume upon registration. To avoid inconvenience, it is encouraged that participants arrive at the venue in costume.
3. The participants must have the following upon registration:
* Two (2) COPIES of a full body picture of the character. (any sizes)
* Registration forms. The participant should fill-out the registration form provided at the event itself. It will be submitted upon registration together with the full body picture of the character to be cosplayed.
4. You may still join even you don't have COPIES of a full body picture of the character. But it will be best if you have these pampa boost percentage sa Characterization at Costume. :)
5. The Cosplay Competition will be from 3pm-6pm. Individual cosplayers are given a maximum of two 30 seconds coswalk time calling everyone by number (introduction).Then cosplayers will be called again for the Skit (Roleplay) part. Each contestant will be given 2 Minute maximum time to do their Skit.
Failure to comply with the time limit will result to the disqualification of the cosplayer .
6. The winners of the Cosplay competition will be decided by the judges in terms of these criteria:

Individual Cosplay:
Characterization=35%
Costume =35%
Overall Appeal=30%
7. Background(BGM) music should be burned in a CD or bring your USB to the day of the event. No Music? Sound system/Multimedia Personnel will PLAY random BGM or no BGM at all upon request of the cosplayer/s.
8. Each contestant will be called individually and using of Human props (na kapwa contestant) is prohibited. wag matigas ulo.
9. Avoid using sharp edge cosplay weapons and pyrotechnics.
10. Cosplayers before the actual competition must prepare this:
If contestant #1 is done with her skit, contestant #2 must think of a way how to make him/her exit the stage similar to this http://www.youtube.com/
11. If your cosplay isn't included in the category (ex. Manga, Tokusatsu, Graphic Novel, VN and pls specify others) you may enter the category of Anime and Videogame provided may proof na galing talaga sa game or GN.
ex: Kamen Rider (Tokusatsu) pwede pasok sa Video game un kasi may Kamen Rider Climax Heroes.
12. Any form of Mecha will still remain in the Mecha category kahit galing pa sa game.
13. Be Awesome. XD
* Characterization – the cosplayer’s resemblance to the reference character in terms of personality and behaviour.
* Costume and Craftsmanship – resemblance of the costume and the props to that of the reference character. Quality of the costume and visual appeal.
* Overall Appeal- innovativeness, creativity, and audience appeal. This including the catwalk presentation for individual cosplayers..
