“Owaranai Natsu 「終わらない夏」: A Season of Bliss” – A UP Tomo-Kai event


The University of the Philippines (UP) Philippines-Japanese Friendship Club, or better known as UP Tomo-Kai, has three exciting and fun filled activities for the month of July in celebration of its 23rd year titled “Owaranai Natsu 「終わらない夏」: A Season of Bliss”.

Land of Rice and Sun:
The warmly-received Filipino-Japanese anniversary food fair returns for its second year with the theme, “Land of Rice and Sun: The Second Sunrise“. The two-week long event will feature mouthwatering local and foreign delicacies, including much-loved comfort food from the Philippines and popular, healthful dishes from Japan.

July 23-26:  AS-CAL Walk, UP Diliman, QC


AcousTKafe

AcousTKafe:
Relax and chat with friends over a cup of kapeng barako and tea as bands play Japanese and Filipino songs in this event. With free admission, unlimited drinks, and media coverage by NHK World’s J-Melo, ”AcousTKafe: A Summer Crescendo” is not something that should be missed.

KokonatsuKokonatsu
The last and the grandest event to cap off UP Tomo-Kai’s anniversary, “Kokonatsu: A Festival of Food, Fun and Friendship” is composed of two parts: Interactive Exhibit and Matsuri. Through the two, one will be able to experience Japanese and Filipino culture.
Interactive Exhibit: July 26, 12-3 PM;  Palma Hall Rm. 400
Matsuri: July 26, 6-10PM; Kamia Parking Lot
